Barnsley IAPT is a free service. Part of the NHS they work alongside your local GP.

They can can help:

  • Talk about your difficulties in a non-judgemental and supportive environment

Andy's Man Club
Andy's Man Club is a free-to-attend peer-to-peer support group for men aged over 18. They meet every Monday night at 7pm (except Bank Holidays) @ The Lightbox Library in town.

Branching Minds Barnsley

Branching Minds Barnsley - joining up mental health and wellbeing support for local children and young people.

Branching Minds Barnsley brings together both services under one roof, helping children, young people and their families get the right support at the right time, whilst providing more seamless care.


Children and young people, families, carers and professionals can request support for mental health and emotional wellbeing issues centrally from the newly joined-up service.

Team Talk is a mental health programme run by Reds In The Community,
It supports men’s mental wellbeing through peer support, sharing experiences, tips and coping mechanisms.

The Barnsley Support Hub

 Out-of-hours mental health crisis service.

The Barnsley Support Hub offers free mental health support to anyone over 18 in a safe, comfortable, supportive environment. 

The service is open Thursday-Monday from 6pm to 11pm for in-person or virtual support. There’s no need for a referral or an appointment.

Individuals can visit for a chat or access support from trained professionals. The service also offers help in creating staying well and crisis plans and supports visitors to access other organisations that may be useful to them.
